Bloomingdale’s Mattress Display – Cadolino Woodwork

Project Overview

We had the privilege of working with Cadolino Custom Woodworking on a high-profile retail project: creating a 3D rendering of a Bloomingdale’s mattress display. The goal was to help their client visualize the in-store setup, complete with branded wall graphics, styled mattresses, and a presentation of the natural materials inside.

This project required speed, precision, and flexibility, since the design direction was still evolving while the deadline was quickly approaching.


The Challenge

The main challenge was that the end client wasn’t fully set on the display design. Key decisions were still up in the air, including:


  • Which mattress model to feature

  • Whether to style with pillows and throws

  • Which imagery and branding to use on the wall displays


Because of this, the renderings went through multiple rounds of revisions — all under the pressure of a strict deadline.


Our Solution

To execute this project quickly and accurately, our team worked directly with the SketchUp model provided by Cadolino Custom Woodworking. By seamlessly integrating their files into our rendering process, we were able to:


  • Save time on modeling and focus on material accuracy and realism

  • Stay true to the client’s design intent while iterating quickly

  • Rework and revise the display multiple times without starting from scratch


Our process included experimenting with different styling options (pillows, throws, accessories), adjusting mattress and display proportions, and testing branding placements until the client felt confident with the final direction.

Even with last-minute feedback, we worked around the clock to turn revisions quickly — ensuring that every update was reflected in time for the showing.


The Result

The final renderings showcased a polished, realistic Bloomingdale’s mattress display that captured the brand’s identity and gave the client full confidence moving forward. By the end, they had a clear visual of how the display would look in-store, complete with natural textures, branding, and styled details.
